It's getting to be that time of year again... taxes will be due soon, but if you have celiac disease you can get a tax deduction for the food you buy. Below are some websites to help get you started.

Also, just google gluten-free food and tax deductions and plenty of sites to help you should pop up. Totally worth it, but very time consuming. My suggestion: Save all your receipts throughout the year, circle the things you could count as gluten-free the day you buy them so you don't forget, and then make a general product list of food item costs for gluten items and what you use to substitute. Remember traveling expenses to a health food store also count. The first year you do this, it might be good to pay for the extra help to get it right. Several flexible spending accounts pay for gluten-free items too so if you have one it might be easier just to use it instead and better cost wise if you don't meet the 7.5% of adjusted gross income for total medical costs.
